hi im looking to purchase a new flat screen 37″- 47″ tv, from the price of $ 699 – $ 899. ive spent the past week looking for the best deals from store to store. then realized that im not just buying a bigger tv or anything.
so in your opinion lcd or plasma? and why?

1080p and 720p, what exactly is it? i don’t plan on purchasing any hd channels from my cable provider. will these resolutions make a difference for regular old cable?

will i have to buy certain and special cables to have a decent working tv?
