They’re both equally good. Plasma has truer blacks that lcd, which make it better to watch in a dark room. Lcd’s, however don’t have glare, which are awesome if your tv is in a room with lots of windows. I have an lcd, and I love it. Also, plasma tvs have a potential for screen burn-in. So, if you play lots of video games, I’d steer clear of the plasmas.

Excellent set especailly at that price which is about 1100 dollars off the regular price. As far as plasma sets go, i would put it in the top 2 for a 720p set and at that price it would easily be number one. It has multiple hdmi and component inputs on it allowing you to have several high definition sources hooked up to it. It is the best selling plasma set on the market at that size. As far as problems, they are no different from any other plasma, the big two being screen glare and burn in which are both preventable with room placement and usage of the set.

Ask Comcast if their decoder box supports 1080i. It probably doesn’t.
